Fantastic experience: Kamo vets just saved my dog Spike from dying from a fatal poison from a snail bait called garden basics, (people look this poison up you will understand what happened and why.),when arrived at that vets he had died they brought him back and I don't know how but he has no affect left from the ordeal, personally I think it was due solely to the fact that Kamo vets acted fast and thrown the rule book out the window.So great full for all that help that day.

Fantastic experience: Thank you to all the wonderful staff on Friday May 29. Responding so quickly when I rang to say my dog may have been poisoned. As an update the man & vehicle involved had been staking out my neighbours as well. The police asked for an official report as they went to find the man. Maddie has recovered well from her treatment and enjoying life as normal. Again I can’t thank you enough for you care, quick response and total care of Maddie. Bronwyne

We have been seeing them for many years now and they go above and beyond anything I’ve experienced at other practices and genuinely care for their clients and their pets. Negative experience: I am absolutely heartbroken and appalled by the level of care my cat received. He was admitted to afterhours care after being hit by a car, but the vets didn’t even bother to check his microchip or contact me until the morning. Until then, he was only given pain relief and left unattended, with no further help or monitoring. By the time staff returned in the morning, he had passed away. I am speechless at such a lack of compassion, urgency, and responsibility from a place that is supposed to care for animals in critical condition. No pet should ever be left to suffer like this, and no owner should have to find out too late that help could have been provided.

Negative experience: No wonder their building is black because that's the colour of their soul. Every animal is important, even my duck. They said the duck, Capitansozzie-Billbert, should be put down because of a broken leg. They wanted me out of that building; it felt very rude. They said there was no vet available, then 2 minutes later she got one. While in the backroom, they laughed at me saying "DUCK"??

Positive experience: Got there just before closing with a sick dog, they grumbled a little but got me an appointment with the vet who examined the dog and advised that he was a bit cold after being bathed earlier, nothing to worry about as he warmed up a little later. Expensive lesson

Fantastic experience: I just want to express my gratitude for the service I've received today. My dog was injured and all staff were very caring and empathic. Lots of phonecalls, back and forth until I was able to actually take him to the clinic for an assessment. I never felt like a nuisance and was treated with respect and kindness. My dog is also feeling better after he received medication. Thank you Kamo Vets. Highly recommend.

Sandra, the vet, is just who we need at this time - she's open, she's honest, she's professional, and she is very mindful of the dog's welfare. In addition, the other staff are empathetic, sympathetic and easy to deal with. I feel comfortable knowing the dog is being well looked after.

Fantastic experience: We bring our pup here and he's been twice now. The staff were friendly and professional - they know their stuff. The premises is open plan in the waiting area, it's very modern. Car parks were easy to access and you can't really miss the place. Great service, good pricing.

It's easy and quick to get an appointment, and the after hours service is very prompt too. Wide variety of merchandise in stock. Services and products are reasonably priced. Kamo Vet now offers LayBuy as a method of payment. We are very happy long standing clients.

Fantastic experience: We have had a great experience with our three cats the past couple of years now. Vets have a great bedside manner, take the time to thoroughly discuss what could be ailing our cats and their recommended treatment options, are able to get us in at short notice, and are reasonably priced.

Positive experience: In house, there care is very good, but I found my pets blood test results took far to long to be processed or they took too long to get back to me with results...twice.

Negative experience: My dog Major was not co operative. I think becos of that the fee should have been dismissed as the vet never got close enough to consult. Well he did with my help to quickly show him the problem but that was it.

Positive experience: Vet did a quick assessment, mentioned enlarged prostate. Prescribed anti-biotic course Clavaseptin, and anti-inflamatory Rimadyl. Openess to discuss probiotics after course. Didn't mention canine decay to which C. is specific. Otherwise 4.5 stars. 5 stars if side-effects of treatment communicated.

Fantastic experience: We were extremely grateful to Kamo vets for accepting our two dogs for their annual checkup and vaccinations as we are travelling around NZ so they are not our regular vets. The vet also picked up an irregularity with the heartbeat of one of our dogs and sent her findings to our vet at home. Thank you for your time and care of Baxter and Harvey and as a consequence of your findings Baxter was referred to Massey vets. Extremely happy with the service we received from Kamo.

Helpfull advise, and handy txt reminders for checkups and flea collars etc. Our pup went to their puppy class, very enjoyable for all. When we needed them for a emergency call they were right there, really comforting knowing they have our back in tricky times. I thoroughly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Our family just moved here from the United States with our two wonderful dogs. Wouldn't you know it, the dogs finally get out of quarantine and one week later, my one baby ends up sick! Having no idea about the vets in the area a friend suggested Kamo vets. The first vet we saw was a man, can't remember his name, but he was brilliant! So caring, understanding, kind and knowledgeable. Needles to say I was sick with worry but he quickly assuaged my fears. He was, pardon the pun, just what the doctor ordered! Then the same dog ends up having a different problem and we end up taking him twice more. This time seeing Sandra. I believe she's the head vet there. She is all of the above and more...I don't know what we would have done without this vet clinic and the wonderful vets there. If that wasn't enough, our other dog ends up with some kind of horrible allergic reaction this past week. Her eye was swollen nearly shut, she was lethargic, drooling, and looked like she was on verge of dying. This happened on Saturday afternoon and the clinic was closed. I had no idea that the vets in this country will meet you at the clinic in the event of an emergency! It was a good thing we brought the dog in because she also had a really high temp. They kept her overnight and gave her fluids. All's well that ends well... Both dogs are doing fine all thanks to the vets and staff at Kamo vets. I definitely recommend them!

My dog needed to be seen asap and they seen her same day… Reasonable prices as well… my girl was seen and given medication. They done a whole body check etc to make sure it wasn’t something else.
