Negative experience: Got Angus out for our goat. He was brilliant. Was told to go and get some medicine from the vets for him, i rang and asked to put it on the account that Angus had not yet made, the lady said yes that is fine. My 17 year old daughter went in to pick it up and they wouldn't give it to her without paying for it. It was $14 for the medicine even knowing i have a call out fee on the same day. I told them I am going to another vet and she said fine. So I went to Kamo Vets which i will be using from now on. Never using this vets again. Which I have used for over 20 years. NOW LOST A CUSTOMER OVER $14

Positive experience: Not our local vet but lily was under vet care when she got worse. They were great. Gave me notes to take back to my vet. Made LILY as comfortable as they could without messing around to much with what my vets protocols were.

Negative experience: Completely unreasonable and incompetent vet for large animals. Never use Angus! Thier Equine vet is fine to deal with the but Angus doesn't know anything about horses or safety with them and is completely unreasonable. Put my horse in danger because of his lack of knowledge.

Negative experience: Had our bunny cremated through Northland vet. TRAUMATISING. When we didn't hear from them after about a week, we called and they said our boy was in a box at the counter. When we went in to pick him up, they could not find him. "Apparently" the lady who had taken our rabbits name (we went over it 3 times when we dropped him off) - had put him down as a stray cat named Archie. Now maybe that could be forgivable but the worst part was they weren't even sure it was him so we lost the closure of knowing we were bringing our pet home to bury. You can understand that this was upsetting for our whole family. As they had made the mistake, we asked if they could print us a death certificate with the correct name and species. The manager told us it was at the front desk and once again, when we went in, we were disappointed. No certificate and no apologies. Im not usually one to point fingers - customer service can be hard but the continued lack of sensitivity - especially regarding the loss of an animal was truly shocking. We will not be taking any future pets here - living or dead.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff @ reception n beyond. I needed more antibiotics 4 our 1yr old tabby boy but had lost them. Argh! We were visiting from out of town. So our vet emailed northland vets who gave us more antibiotics. So yay!' We've become new n v happy customers especially wn we move up north w our boys (Tommy n Sammy) thanks all. You guys rock!

Fantastic experience: We have four indoor cats the eldest is 19 years old.....we have always had wonderful service from the Maunu Road and Onerahi clinics for all our cats...empathy and kindness from the front desk reception to the nurses and vets everybody gives exemplary service.

Fantastic experience: Popped in for an after hours appointment for my crying male cat as he had bladder/bowel issues, the vet was great and thankfully it was only furball constipation. I had seen her before in Onerahi and the vet is very knowledgeable, the after hours fee is $300+ the treatments which I think is acceptable for emergencies - when I call expecting someone to come meet me before midnight and treat my best friend. Thanks for helping me immediately team ⭐️

Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars I would. Yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize our beloved family dog. I couldn't rate Sarah Alexander and higher. Honestly, she made the horrible situation so much easier by explaining our options and helping us make a completely informed decision. We had a room full of our family on the floor of the vet clinic balling our eyes out and Sarah was so patient and compassionate! They're down to earth and realistic. The only vets I would ever visit with our fur family in future.

Negative experience: My father took my pet Koli Boy to be examined as he was having trouble emptying his bladder. After blood tests etc. I was informed that there was little chance of recovery so for the cat's sake I requested euthanasia. We were never offered a chance to see him for the last time, no bill was offered to see what had been spent, and my complaint email sent on Wednesday 22nd February and today 2nd March to chased it up got the same reply as last time stating that 'they aim to reply to all emails within 2 business days' This is the worst service I have encountered and did nothing to help our grief except to add more stress and bad memories. They charge enough for their services, more than other vets, yet the service provide is disgraceful.

Negative experience: More expensive than other vets, seem to take awhile to find out the actual issue when dealing with my dog but eventually got to the bottom of it just had to spend way more money than we were told all for it to be something minor and easily fixed. Only come here when we can’t make it out to our usual in waipu.

Negative experience: Very unhappy with the lack of communication from this vet clinic. The vets there are quite rude & made sarcastic comments about us in regards to our visit after miscommunication on their end with a quote. Will never be back :)

Fantastic experience: Thank you Alan, for a thorough and thoughtful consultation, we and the Goat felt heard and listened to, I observed you so focused on your work, responding to every piece of input provided as if it was valuable in your assessment, asking detailed questions, taking samples for labwork, and your patient manner was very respectful, I heard you apologise to the goat during the third and biggest needle, We All Felt heard and understood. The patient was much quieter and at ease on the way home :-)

Negative experience: Called after hours as my dog was vomiting. Was told that, despite responding 24/7 to emergency calls, they could not do anything as my dog was not registered. Was told I could make an appointment in a couple days, when I said my dog required immediate attention, they hung up. Do not recommend, cannot deliver their promise of 24/7 support.

Negative experience: Called to ask for some over the phone about a medical issue with my dog. Im registered with them with other pets but not my dog they said that they wouldn’t allow me to talk to a vet because the dog isn’t registered and then immediately hung up on me…. Im honistly shocked…. This is meant to be a 24 hour emergency line and they just hung up on me withought a shread of hostility from my end…

Our cat had an acute eye infection which we were very reluctant to leave until Monday morning as he was in so much discomfort. A prompt appointment was made by a very helpful receptionist. The vet was efficient and professional and overall the fee was not too costly. A good service all round. Thank you

Negative experience: Useless!! Called their emergency line at 9.30pm. Had witnessed a dog be hit by multiple cars, dog was in serious condition, blood pouring from mouth and body. Was turned away due to the fact the dog, which wasn’t ours, wasn’t registered to your clinic. Told you couldn’t do anything! This is appalling as you are vets who are supposedly there to help save animals lives when they are in need Would NOT recommend!
