Fantastic experience: Took my new kitten in for his second vaccination. Veronika was lovely and looked after us. It was a nice touch having a separate waiting area for cats and dogs, such a great idea to keep everyone safe and calm.

Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Vet Services for almost 9 years now since my border collie was a pup and have had nothing but exceptional service! She gets excited just walking through the doors. Last year my collie ruptured her cruciate ligament and vet services wasted no time in diagnosing, coming up with a plan and providing all the information I needed to make a decision on surgery which was a no brainer! She got in quick and received the best care possible from vet surgeon Sharné and all the nurses. 7 months later she tore her other cruciate and again vet services wasted no time getting her in for surgery which happened within the week! She’s now back to running around like her normal self thanks to the skilled and caring team, I could not recommend anywhere better for your furry friend!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Vet Services Napier enough! The team is always professional, welcoming and clearly dedicated to the wellbeing of every animal that walks through the door. Sharne was absolutely amazing when we bought our puppy (Millie) in for her check up and vaccines etc. Not only did Sharne give great advice specifically for her breed, Millie was so calm and happy she didn't know the vaccines and microchip had been done! Such a great experience for a puppy's first vet visit! Our 16 year old dog who has always been nervous going to the vet was surprisingly calm after her visit recently as well which goes to show how great the team is! If you're looking for top-tier vet care in the Hawke's Bay area this is definitely the place to go!

Fantastic experience: We couldn't be more grateful for the amazing team at Vet Services Napier. Our beloved GSD boy, Texan, had the Rolls Royce of care from his minor health concerns and rountine check-ups, to emergency/lifesaving surgery, and right through to helping our entire family with gentle and dignified end-of-life care. Our boy had a long and happy life, made longer and happier because we had Sharné and the entire skilled, dedicated, and caring family of staff at Vet Services on our team.

Fantastic experience: Out SPCA dog went in for a teeth clean, they found a chipped tooth and called us before completing extra work. Staff were very friendly, foyer and spaces were clean. The air on the side of caution with anything and our dog is happier for it.

Fantastic experience: Vet Services Napier. Excellent customer service from Reception staff, nurses and Doctors. Clean friendly dedicated areas for cats and dogs to wait. Calming towels available (sprayed with a FELIWAY calming pheromone for kittens/cats) If you choose. Plenty of seating for your cat cage to sit along side you while you wait. Well informed, clear explanation of the whole procedure through to after care instructions. And wide range of products available to purchase. Thank you for taking great care of Tiger-Rā ‍⬛️

Fantastic experience: Great vets in HB, available, and very caring. At the first appointment the vet suggested that we could try to unblock her right tear duct as is always leaking. She was 7 and none of the other vets she had before ever cared about it even saying there was nothing that could be done. They cared and today her eye is so much better! Lulu is my baby and I trust Vet Services to always look after her the best way possible.

Positive experience: Recently I took my sick puppy there as they were the only vet open on a Sunday which was good but all they had to offer was anti nausea medication which a different vet had already given for him the day before that and I explained it wasn’t working that’s why I was there. I asked for something to flush his gut out because he’s eaten rotten food and needs all the bad stuff flushed out. She offered to do bloodwork I declined and repeated what I wanted. Only then she offered a nutritional supplement called promax which helped flush everything out over a 40 hour period. She also offered a syringe to help him eat watered down food As he was refusing to eat so had no choice but to syringe feed him. I noticed the prices have reduced aswell which is good.

Their attention to detail is outstanding, and every single staff member is kind, professional, and empathetic. They have a team of absolutely AMAZING very skilled vets and vet nurses, and the overall vibe of the clinic is always really friendly and helpful. A special mention to Barb at reception, she is so lovely and smiley, and I always hope to see her at the desk each time I visit. I love the way she makes a fuss over my little 15 year old dog, Dolly when we come in, she has even come over to the waiting area to give her some pats! The clinic’s communication is really good, have always had timely experiences with medication orders and appointment bookings. They truly go above and beyond, and even sent a birthday card for Dolly, who is in kidney failure and who we weren’t sure would reach this milestone of 15. That meant so much to me, and I always feel so supported and grateful to have them caring for my pets. I feel their pricing for services is very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have taken my 2 much loved cats to this clinic since moving to HB for routine vaccines etc. In the recent months however each of my fur babies have had separate health issues that have required reasonably urgent care. I can not speak highly enough of the care, compassion and expertise that I experienced with both visits. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and the vets that dealt with each presentation were amazing at explaining and assisting with the care of my cats going forward.

Fantastic experience: I've been taking all my fur and feathered babies to Vet Services Napier for a few years now, and have known a few of the vets and vet nurses previously from other vet clinics, which is why I ended up moving to Vet Services. I believe their knowledge of, passion fornand quality of care of animals to be top notch. My dogs, ducks and chickens have all been patients there. My dogs absolutely love going for a vet visit because they are showered in love and treats when they arrive. I have always found the receptionists to be incredibly accommodating in finding last minute appointments for those more pressing medical situations, and also understanding when I've forgotten about the odd appointment. I've never had an unpleasant interaction with any of the receptionists, as some have said in their reviews. It is important to remember that the clinic is incredibly busy and those ladies on reception have a lot they are managing at any given time and it can be an incredibly stressful job. We're all human after all. Well, except for the animals, which are obviously not. But then again they aren't running the clinic so that's neither here nor there. They also have a lifestyle pet section which is super convenient as well if you need lambing or drenching supplies instead of heading over to Hastings. I've trusted Vet Services Napier with the lives and wellbeing of my many pets and highly recommend them to anyone who is committed to the preventative care and upkeep of their animal companions. Thank you for all that you do!

She’s compassionately cared for my two previous cats right through their lives, treating them with kindness, patience, and genuine love. More recently she’s been looking after my mini schnauzer, who has had ongoing issues with her eyes, and once again has shown nothing but dedication and expertise. Fantastic experience: Fabulous vet services. Respectful, kind and discreet when the time came for our family to farewell our much treasured cat of 14 years. Have also dealt with them taking our new cats for vaccinations/treatments. Knowledgeable, friendly team with a great space! Negative experience: Have a very lonnggggg history with these guys. Have been going to them when they were based in Hastings, the days of the awesome Stewart and Roger. But unfortunately Barbara is so rude we have slowly started going to another vet that has a great price and friendly reception staff. Recently went through a stressful time with my very sick dog and had no sympathy for them and it was stressful for myself and dog. I feel like as soon as she knows who is calling she just changes her demeanor from rude to full blunt no care for your feelings awful Barbara. I hate that I have to be so negative, but this has been on every occasion. There’s no excuse. And I see I’m not the only one.

Fantastic experience: We recently put our boy to sleep with the help of Napier vet services. We could not be happier with the service we received during this very difficult time. When we took our anxious boy in to speak the vet he was treated very lovingly and respectfully which is something we haven’t really experienced in the past (different vet clinics). A week later we put him to sleep and had a very caring, patient and empathetic vet and vet nurse come out to our home and make this as comfortable as possible for our boy. A very big thank you to the team at Vet Services for helping our much loved boy to go peacefully

Fantastic experience: The vets and team at napier are amazing, they treat your pet as if they were their own. The new building is great, nice and fresh. When I had to put my old boy to sleep the team didn't rush my time with him, they were informative on the process and gave me time to grieve after he passed. I got a card from them a week or two after with a lovely message from the team. The vet nurse at the time also made sure I had heaps of paw and nose prints from my boy so I could get it tattooed later.

I recently changed vets due to being unjustly over priced for a simple procedure without prior consultation This vet was amazing didn't end up being much wrong with my dog and vet suggested a household item for a simple fix. Alot of places would charge for ointment or prescribe expensive unnecessary medicines. All I paid was a consult fee and got great service

Fantastic experience: Our dog Cody has been going to vet services for over 10 years. His current vet, Veronika, is outstanding and has been amazing with him as we’ve dealt with both arthritis and blindness resulting in corneal surgery. She is hugely caring and I know she is invested in Cody and how he is. Can’t rate highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my experience here after taking my Red Nose Pitbull in for a check. I was treated just like any other customer, which unfortunately hasn’t been our experience in the past even though he really is just a big baby despite his breed being given a bad name, which all Vets should know anyway. My mum has a teeny tiny dog that actually bosses him around. I’m so stoked we were recommended to come here by a very close friend, lovely place for our fur babies. Positive experience: Had to take my cat cos they had a weepy eye, wish had gone to them earlier alot cheaper than the vet I used, friendly and pricing was reasonsble

Negative experience: The receptionist Barbara was incredibly rude during a face to face interaction, I had reasonable questions and was polite, asked my question and was met with a condescending grump talking down to me like I’m rubbish. I am a health professional myself, and that kind of front desk attitude really is an awful representation for your clinic, absolutely no people skills, kindness goes a long way!

Fantastic experience: Vet Services. Wow what can I say. What a team! They are loving, caring, understanding. When the cyclone hit, my rabbit was with them, with phone lines down They found a way to get in touch to let me know my rabbit was safe. (I lived in havelock at the time so couldn't get over) They were so caring when my daughter brought in one of her bunnies when she crossed the rainbow Bridge. They treated myself, my girl and our bun with love, respect and such a caring heart. What more could I ask for.

Previous vet they were at didn’t help at all. When one of my buns passed they sent out a hand written card which meant a lot. Highly recommend

Negative experience: Not helpful at all. I called to explain I can't drive due to disability & my x husband is refusing to get my dog to a vet as she's torn a nail & it's causing considerable pain. I asked if someone could come over to her as we live a few minutes drive away. I was told they had no spare appointments. I asked if they could come at the end of the day, I even told them I would double the bill and pay it straight away but the answer was the same. So.... lovely and caring vet who would rather let a dog stay in considerable pain than take ten minutes out of their closed time to relieve that pain.

Fantastic experience: I have been to Vet services for a long time now and find there care with my dog an cat great. Dave did successful surgery on my Bellas back leg and the care etc from him was really good and helpful to me. Veronika who I have now seen a few times is wonderful with my spoilt Bella. I would always recommend Vet Services after the great service and costs to go there.

Fantastic experience: Staff are all very friendly and helpful. My dog's vet, Veronika, has always been fantastic with him. This clinic also has a fabulous dog groomer who comes a few days a week and does a marvellous job (I have a mini schnauzer who always looks very regal after his haircut). Highly recommend!
