Fantastic experience: Recently, I have lost my last Guinea pig. Despite the grieving of letting our girl go, it has been a pleasure treating with At the vets. We have dealt with pretty much all the stuff over the last few years, but I want to give Helen a special shout out for her professionalism and compassion. Her experience gave us more time with our Totoro recently, and always was clear about our options. Thanks all for your outstanding service, team. Fantastic experience: All the staff are very caring for the human and its loved one. They go above and beyond to make you as comfortable as possible no matter how hard things are. Never seen anything like it before. They are pretty good at running on time, even if you are an emergency call up.

Fantastic experience: At the Vets made our painful decision of euthanising our little rabbit a less than stressful situation! The vet and staff were so kind to us and our sweet boy on his way to his final sleep. Thank you for giving us so much care & support & empathy! I know it must be hard as a vet to have to do this part of the job so thank you for looking after our little boy and us! Can’t speak more highly of this place! And Thank you for the ink prints of his ears & feet to take home to treasure while we grieve.

They provide high level expertise, sound and stepped advice which they work with you to make a plan that suits your circumstances, is sensible, practical and affordable. We have different animals and every one has been through different circumstances and have had the upmost care and positive outcomes. Every staff member you deal with is very knowledgeable and takes the time with you, you never feel under time pressure or rushed. Thanks for getting us through many tough moments with such a high quality of care and your team’s warm kindness and support!

Fantastic experience: We attended this vet under very unfortunate circumstances whereby our cat become acutely unwell and passed away. RIP Puck. Vets, Elora and Holly, were outstanding in helping us to manage the situation. Their expertise and the sensitivity shown throughout was beyond comparison and this has helped enormously in lessening our grief afterwards. I can't thank them enough. Absolutely worth every penny!

Fantastic experience: My experience with At The Vets started at the end of last year when my rabbit became unwell. Although his original vet did a great job and found out he had kidney failure, I wasn't quite ready to give up. I did some research and found what I thought might be the culprit and made a appointment with ATV and long story short, he got treatment and he recovered. We got 5 extra months with our baby boy before old age and likely his kidneys failing were just too much and we made the decision to put him to sleep. This was such a tough thing to do,but Helen and her team were so lovely and patient. I was talked through all the steps of the process and given ample time to grieve. I was informed of options for cremation and such and they took some fur clippings and a print of his adorable, nose My experience with ATV was nothing but positive and I would like to thank them and especially Helen for their hard work and compassion. They also sent me a card recently, signed by all the staff.❤️ My baby boy Peanut had a long and joyful life,making it past 10 years! and I'm so thankful for that. May he now rest in peace.

Complete professionals with a level of care for your loved ones I've never experienced prior to this clinic. This clinic should be the practice the rest strive for. Once you experience this practice you'll never go anywhere else

Negative experience: Very lovely and friendly people but prices are a joke. Was going to bring my dog for annual check up and get some vaccinations, where vet prescribed some calming meds to be given before appointment, so went to pick them up and they tried charging $53 for 4 pills. Whaaaat! $53 for 4 calming pills!! What a joke.

Fantastic experience: Love this vet, no judgement at all for being a pug owner. Helen is thoughtful and always treats each of our puglets as individuals not as a statistic on a chart.

Fantastic experience: Had my first visit today with my cat and was highly impressed.From the cleanliness of the facility to the reception staff and the vet herself everyone was helpful,polite and it was a seamless experience.Every other vet I have been too it has generally been rushed and the vet has not been very engaging but here I found the complete opposite . Thank you guys please keep up the amazing work you really stand out . Have a great weekend!

Negative experience: They put profit before the welfare of animals. They send overpriced quotes with unnecessary operations and stuff, even when they know the pet owner is struggling to pay. Very disturbing and disgusting behavior. Would definitely NOT recommend this vet at all. They don't even deserve 1 star. Edit: You have not emailed me. You guys tried sucking more than $700 per tooth out of me, took my dog to darfield vet and what do you know. Don't need any teeth out. Hmm. Strange.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service here! The wee dog I'm caring for got into food she shouldn't have so I popped in here for advice. I didn't have an appointment but they helped sort her out straight away. All of the team working today were so lovely and reassuring. Thank you :)

Negative experience: Becareful, This vet are very judgemental and doesn't do proper protocol on pets that should be getting looked after and monitored over night especially being a puppy under the age 6 months that's needed to be put to sleep. This vet is still stocking vaccines for puppies that have been recalled since April that kill pups. I'm warning people from your recent in counter with other dogs that have recently seem and funny how you haven't spoken up about the wrong vaccines you have in stock.

Fantastic experience: Went here a couple of weeks ago when regular vet was booked up. Receptionist was so caring and kind with my cat and with me. Vet was very thorough and gentle. Cat got better, and it didn’t cost a fortune. So impressed that I am bringing all my pets here from now on.

Negative experience: Chelsea Ridl was so rough with my cat and just treated her like an inconvenience. We had to put a towel around my cat to get the shots and we've never had to with any other vet. I emailed them and all they said was "I'm sorry you feel that way" and "we'll speak to her about it". I witnessed it so it's not just a feeling. Also, the owners replies to bad reviews are god awful

Fantastic experience: We have taken out cat here for years. We cannot fault the level of care and compassion all the staff give. Recently we had a scare with our Cat. The service was amazing, They suggested the afterhours Vet as it was the weekend. Then phoned to offer us an earlier appointment Monday to get him seen ASAP. Phoned after the treatment to see how he was. We were a mess and the staff were just amazing. Yes, Vets aren't cheap - but they train for 5 years ! just to get the degree. And if it keeps him healthy then I'll happily pay

Negative experience: last year i took my bunny to the vet, i couldn’t afford the xray for her and one of the workers Heather wouldn’t let me take her home even for a couple hours to make a decision, i didn’t want what happened to happen but Heather did not care about my feelings towards the situation at all i was clearly upset and not in the right headspace, Heather had a bad tone in her voice & wasn’t letting me grieve. I had to be forced to to make the decision to put my bunny down, I will never be going back there again Heather was so arrogant & rude. I am full of anger ever since that day.

Best service ever, the whole staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, the lady at the front desk spent a good 40 minutes with me going over nutritional information and gave me heaps of helpful tips that have already massively helped my baby out and as a new owner I appreciate this so much! I can’t thank the staff enough for the work they do! I will never go anywhere else!

Negative experience: Booked my kitten in today as i was unable to get in at my usual place.... next time I will wait. I left feeling extremely deflated if i am honest, the receptionist who i dealt with was absolutely lovely however the vet I had was quite the opposite. Each time i asked a question i ether got shot down or a very rude and blunt reply. The vets attitude towards me was disheartening - kindness goes along way. As a new kitten owner with an anxious kitten i wanted to make sure I was covering all basis and the answers I got made me feel like I shouldn't have asked at all. I will be going back to my regular vet in the future.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service, and exceptionally better than any other vet I have used in the past. Always greeted so warm and genuinely! The team have been taking care of my fur babies for many years now. Helen is especially skilled to take care of my chinchillas, which has been tricky at times, but I know they're always in safe hands and getting the best care they deserve. Fantastic experience: Dr. Heather was great with my guinea pig. It can be hard to find a vet you trust with exotic pets, but she knows her stuff and is very thorough. Unfortunately my piglet's prognosis was very poor, and euthanasia was the kindest option; I am glad I found Heather to go through all the diagnostics, and that the team were able to make her comfortable in the end. And thank you for putting flowers with her in her little box <3

A few days later we received the card, which is all doctors and nurses wrote a comment for cheering our family up. They are extremely grateful people to real good care for patients. Fantastic experience: We really enjoy At the Vets. They’ve always been super supportive, the communication we’ve received from our vet Chelsea is awesome and our animals love her - so much so that when we moved across town we decided to still go to At the Vets, even if it means a bit more forward planning and a drive across town.

Fantastic experience: Such a caring place with excellent staff. I had to say goodbye to my cat George recently and they made it as gentle and kind as possible. Some very thoughtful touches in the time afterwards which is very appreciated. Thanks for all you do.

Positive experience: Capable, but bloody expensive. Spent over $212 for a 20 min consult - had a filavac, no meds, and a quick check on 3 buns. We get this done regularly, never really appreciate the overcharges. In the booking system, they allocate 15 mins for each consult, which costs around $69. Therefore, a 20 min consult with no meds, plus filavac should be around $92+ $69. Having said that, the vaccination time should be included in the filavac charge. Anything beyond $170 is a ripe off.

Positive experience: Thanks girls. I took my two cats in without a carrier (as couldnt get to it them due to a huge move to the south Island) It was sooo very stressful getting there but my kittys did well and the vet made them feel as comfotable as they possibly could. Fantastic experience: All the staff at At the Vets are caring and supportive. We have been going to them for 18 years now (before they were called At the Vets and were in Wilsons Road) and would not consider going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: All the staff are exceptionally helpful, caring and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend. I won’t be taking my guinea pigs anywhere else!

Negative experience: Visited here with my mother and her 15 year old dog the vet showed no empathy towards nor our dog or my mum while wrongly diagnosing her causing fright in my mum after hurting her eye and making comments towards my mum as if she is not a good dog owner. This vet also told my mother Jesse could not go under anaesthetic as she has heart problems then went back on this suggesting surgery and said she never said Jesse could not have surgery which my mum was most definitely told. I do not feel this was a caring or professional way for a vet to act it was an uncomfortable experience

Fantastic experience: First time taking my dog there today and everyone was so lovely. She just went for a consult but it was a great experience, the receptionists were so kind and gave my dog lots of treats and cuddles and the vet that saw my dog was so gentle with her. They were all very knowledgeable and I would have complete trust in them if my dog ever needed surgery or just had to stay there. Would definitely recommend

Very kind and caring people who have helped us through the growth of our little puppy Bella. Made time for us when we had an emergency and made the process far less scary than it was. Fantastic experience: Had an emergency trip to the Vets on Sunday, they made time for us and made a stressful situation for both me and my dog as stress free as possible. Negative experience: On both occasions recently, for our cat and dog, we have been really disappointed with the care we've received. The staff treated our anxious and afraid dog with no care or empathy and as a result, really upset our daughter. They were more interested in themselves and less in the wellbeing of the animal. For this reason we will be moving vets.

Fantastic experience: I recently lost my cat Miley in a freak accident, i took her to At the Vets and they immediately took her in and started to help her. sadly she could not be saved. they were amazing and understanding and i even got a wee card in the mail from all the team sharing their deepest sympathy's. I love this vet and even moving 40mins away still doesn't stop me from continuing to use them as my Vets for my fur babies. THANKS TEAM

Fantastic experience: My cat got a painful bite on her tail. It swelled up heaps. I booked an appointment and they called me to make sure she didn't need emergency care. They were so considerate of her needs and made sure she was okay. I wasn't able to pay upfront so they helped me sort out a payment plan and didn't stop her from getting treatment. Fantastic experience: It was my first pet and my first time being in the vet. The doctor was so patient to answer my thousands questions. Very nice and friendly. My puppy loved it.

Fantastic experience: Have always used this vets and have found their service nothing but five-star. Their care isn't just for the animals but extends to their human as well. The time we had to rush in without an appointment because our dog had been stung, they saw him swiftly, removing the stinger and didn't charge. Their care is without a doubt about the animal and not focused on the monetary value the others so often attribute to this field.
