Fantastic experience: Rappaw,Tawa has been our veterinary clinic for many years. They are excellent vets. They are also extremely caring towards both animals and their humans. Couldn't ask for a better place.

Fantastic experience: My dog loves her visits to Rappaw Tawa. The staff are really friendly and genuinely seem to like the animals, they always make a fuss over our dog and she enjoys it. It is a nice easy place to visit.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love Rappaw vets tawa staff are so friendly and very welcoming, the veterinarian that looks after our family jack and lexi is amazing even with all the silly questions we asked when we brought our puppy jack In for the 1st time and when lexi was attacked by a stray cat they didn't hesitate to get lexi an appointment best vets ever!!

Fantastic experience: I've been to Rappaw with my sick cat three times in the last week, and I'm so impressed with the team's willingness to fit us into their busy schedule, devotion to providing her with the best care, and thoroughness in figuring out what's wrong. Everyone has been so compassionate and patient, which has done a lot for my own stress levels, and I'm so glad to have them as my local vets.

Negative experience: If I could give a zero, I would. It’s been many years since we took my dog here but their mistreatment of him still haunts me and I feel guilty we didn’t make a formal complaint. He was a puppy on his first vet visit. As he was being examined, he was naturally curious and excited, and moved a lot. The vet was very unfriendly and wasn’t amused. She continued what seemed to be routine checks. But my puppy continued to wriggle. The vet then pressed down in his ears for many seconds while he cried. Stupidly, even though I was shocked at what was happening, we didn’t question the horrible vet, thinking it was part of the checkup somehow. My puppy whimpered and then went quiet after. We got his vaccine done after that, but he was forever afraid of vet visits after that for the rest of his life. Shocked and confused, we left feeling awful and ended up asking an acquaintance (who regularly took her own dogs there at the time) if the ear pressing was normal. She was appalled and said it wasn’t but that the vet we got was not nice and we should try to get someone else next time. Hope their practices have changed, and more importantly, that that vet no longer works with animals as she was clearly not suited for the profession. What an awful person. I still feel sick in my gut when I see this place. It goes without saying, we changed to a much friendlier and caring veterinary service.

Fantastic experience: Visited for bloods today prior to consultation and surgery. Was professionally done and updated what was done at this apt.

Fantastic experience: Truly excellent service from the entire team everytime either of our two dogs have needed to visit (one has chronic bowel issues the other a recent castration). Would highly recommend.

They discuss..talk things through with you, and are honest and totally trustworthy. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone..and I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.
