Fantastic experience: Very amazing. Roxy used to go to Khandallah vet. They used to put muzzle on her treating her like a dangerous animal and made me sad and Roxy absolutely hated to go there each time was a mission. Khandallah closed down and I couldn’t get an appointment at khaiwharawhwara animates so I tried Pet doctor at Thornton. Oh my goodness! My Roxy wagged tail smiling and she let the vet to do anything including the teeth’s check up ( which had never done due to the muzzle )and put thermometer in an anal. She took the treat from the vet which was very unusual for Roxy who never takes the food from others. I’m so relieved that Roxy’s vet visit will be stress free from now on. Unfortunately I didn’t take her name but she had an Orca tattoo on her arm to identify her. She was absolutely lovely and professional. TThank you so so so much. The receipt doesn’t mention her name…

I had fractured my ankle and as I couldn't walk I was unable to visit the clinic in person so they came to us even though they were really busy. I really appreciated the effort they went to as without his vaccinations my boy couldn't attend daycare the following week which is all that is keeping us both sane at present. This is the level of service and caring I love about this team!

When Dr Tracy has been away on leave, I’ve had comfort in knowing that Dante would be well cared for by other attending doctors, nurses and staff. I’m so grateful that Dr Tracy has been there for nearly all of Dante’s appointments over the nearly 18 years since we’ve had him. She never rushes our appointments and she genuinely cares for the wellbeing of our little one. Thanks Dr Tracy for being so amazing, attentive and caring. Fantastic experience: We had our first appointment at Pet Doctors with our two Budgies. We are absolute newbies when it comes to Budgies and we very much appreciated Tracy for not only thoroughly making sure the birds are health but also giving us lots of tips about budgie care. We have never thought of having birds, they just appeared in our garden one day and we couldn't find anyone who was missing them so we gave them a home. This visit was just a general check up to see where we are at as we don't know anything about the birds past. We would highly recommend Pet Doctors and especially Tracy for anyone with feathered friends.

So here’s me paying it forward for someone who might need it. I had the most seamless experience with Pet Doctors Thorndon; from securing a last minute appointment to making payment after consult, every step was fuss-free and each team member was so pleasant to deal with. Thanks to the whole team and especially Dr Nicole Sims. Dr Nicole saw us promptly and was extremely patient and gentle with our cat Pooja, who had a bacterial infection. Dr Nicole also explained everything thoroughly and gave us very detailed answers to any questions we had. It’s been 3 days since our visit and Pooja is feeling so much better!

Fantastic experience: When our dog ate half a bar of chocolate recently the team at Pet Doctors Thorndon were exceptional. They attended to her immediately and thoroughly, and rather remarkably saved her life. They pulled no punches about the severity of her condition but were sensitive to our emotional wellbeing as well as her health needs. They were also sensitive about the added stress of potential cost in an already sensitive situation, and prepared us for the worst-case scenario on both her likely chance of survival, and the costs involved. We can't thank them enough on every level.

Instead of rushing the vaccinations through and leaving a nervous dog scared of the whole experience they did all they could to make it positive for Ari and me. The vet took the time to let Ari get to know her a little, the treats of course helped. She made her way into Ari's personal space so gently, calming her as she went and building trust along the way. All the time she was working with Ari she kept me appraised of what she was doing while being aware of just how far she could go with Ari's check up. The extra time taken alongside the professionalism and genuine kindness is not something that you see everywhere and it was so appreciated. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience with you. Thank you so much.

They've helped us sort out troubles with our two cats in a very empathetic manner. They even popped over to the pet store with me and showed me what they recommend for distracting a teenage cat from an older and quieter cat. They have our full confidence and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a vet.

Fantastic experience: Pet doctors are amazing! Our pets aren't big fans of going to the vet but the staff at pet doctors are so great with animals and are great at making them feel more comfortable. I love that they see Guinea pigs too. Our guinea pigs were doted over by the vet and they gave us lots of great advice.

Fantastic experience: Vets that remember pets are the best. Pet Doctors Thorndon may seem like a chain offering, but you’ll be pretty pleased with the vet and nurses recalling visits months apart. While vets normally make most of their profit margins from up selling, Pet Doctors Thorndon doesn’t overdo it, so you walk aware not feeling pressured into perhaps indulgent procedures. Pet surgeries are well managed with lots of information from the outset, options to manage costs during surgeries, and outpatient care that will see dopey big happy cats and dogs returned to their owners. Go here for quality veterinary care, with a clean waiting room and enjoy the fuel discounts on your way out!

Fantastic experience: Eve and the team at Pet Doctors Thorndon provide amazing care for your animals, as well as wonderful support and guidance to pet owners. The quality of care they show both pets and owners truly is incredible. I am always left reassured that if my fur baby needs to stay there for a prolonged period of time he will be well loved, cuddled and cared for. I recommend them to everyone I know who has a pet or is thinking about owning a pet.

Fantastic experience: We have been using Pet Doctors for our two cats and two dogs for a while now. The staff have been amazing and are always understanding. They were very compassionate when we had to have our cat put down last year and we all appreciated this. Our two cavoodles don't mind visiting as they know they get a treat after each visit. Mitsi had a knee op two years ago and everyone was great....keep it up all.

Fantastic experience: My animal family and I have been with Pet Doctors for 10+ years now. They are welcoming and caring to all of my animals and always make us feel better for visiting. My loyalty was cemented with their sensitive treatment of us when it was time to say goodbye to a much loved cat. They know how to look after us owners as well as our babies.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting Pet Drs Kaiwharawhara for many years now and having owned 3 bullmastiffs, have had many many occasions to visit them. However in 2013 I moved out of Wellington and so began the search for a vet to match the service I was used to receiving from Pet Drs. I tried and tried and couldn't do it, so now I'm back. Last month I introduced my two rehomed boys James and Jed to Dr Eve (sadly we no longer have our bullmastiffs), it was seriously like coming home. Both boys had pretty minor things that needed attending to and Eve responded with her usual gusto. I've not come across another vet that takes such an interest; extremely thorough examinations, calling regularly to see how things are and generally instilling confidence that she's got it under control and will put it right. I can't rate them highly enough. I'd rather travel and go to Pet Drs.

Fantastic experience: Our three cats have always had A1 care from Pet Doctors. Our senior cat became seriously ill a few years ago and the care he was given was second to none. Eve Falconer arranged for him to have specialist treatment and we were thrilled to have him for an extra five years, only recently having to say goodbye to him - a hard thing to do but made easier by the loving attitude of the staff. Thank you Eve and all the staff - you are greatly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Pet Doctors, especially for emergency care. Our wee dog became VERY ill VERY quickly and we received very prompt weekend service. He needed 2 weeks of inpatient care and was very well looked after. It impressed me that Pet Doctors also made use of other speciality services when needed and arranged it for us. Full recovery occurred and following the post recovery advice he has remained healthy and active.

Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly and competent. I like the reminders for vaccinations and the extra care taken when my dog has had issues including after hours calls. Been a customer for 6 years, and although there is a different vet each time, the service remains great.
