Super lovely girl reception, not sure if same one but v nice & sweet & the nurse & vet were kind & knowledgable & gave me great advice that saved me a bundle of $. Grateful for you as was so worried. My dog is responding so well to the tins that you advised me to get, no more runs for him! We are grateful as we were travelling & I was so anxious about him. We could discuss it together and go away and decide. She showed years of experience that gave confidence. We came away feeling empowered take care of our pet.

Fantastic experience: Hi Recently we had to have our 14-year-old Golden Lab put to sleep. I am sure many people have to go through this very uncomfortable decision and process but for us Claudia at your clinic stepped us through the decision with kindness and calm reassurance. She then took us through the process in a respectful and peaceful way. Her manner in the whole process helped us immensely. We did not get to say thank you to her on the day as we left rather quickly. Thank you, Claudia. You have a wonderful way about you and Dot and I along with Georgie are at peace with it all now although we are in the time of being reminded of her by all the little things. Negative experience: I visited Pet Doctors several times for socialisation sessions with a timid dog. While I appreciated being allowed to come in, the communication was very poor. I called ahead before every visit and clearly explained the dog’s issues, yet none of this was passed on to staff. We booked a vet appointment only to be told there was no vet available. The nurse who saw us was visibly nervous, with trembling hands, and even admitted she was scared of the dog — making any progress impossible. I took time out of my day for these visits and ultimately felt unsupported and left to manage the situation alone. Better communication and more confident staff needed

Fantastic experience: I’ve brought my puppy in here 3 times and have always been met with kind, efficient and knowledgeable service. The 2 vets I have seen, have ensured I’ve left with all the necessary information and some. This receptionists really make my pup & I feel welcomed and at home. They even saved me some money by signing up to their wellness plan which I truly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I am so impressed with the kindness and professionalism of the staff at pet doctors. I brought in my very poorly mouse for a few consults, advice upon and buying medication, and unfortunately eventually putting her to sleep. I was nervous about bringing her in due to her being “just a mouse”, and not getting adequate treatment, but the service here was just amazing and so considerate. Special mention to Dr Claudia for treating my little pet with such respect, and always offering different options and being open to discuss everything with me. Very much appreciated - amazing clinic :)

Fantastic experience: I run a rescue, and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the team at Palmerston North Pet Doctors! They truly know their stuff, treat both dogs and their humans with respect, and always put the animals first — something that’s sadly lacking in many places these days. Some of the animals I bring in are extreme cases, but I’ve never once felt like they were “too much” or that I was a burden. Instead, I’ve always felt genuinely supported. The staff are calm, compassionate and always willing to learn and expand their knowledge and handling skills to better support unique and challenging cases. That kind of dedication makes all the difference.

Fantastic experience: Pet Doctors Palmerston North has been our regular vet for the past 4 years (it was the Thorndon branch prior) and I am continually blown away by the amazing support and knowledgeable staff on each encounter. I have full confidence that my pet receives the best care and always happy to recommend to any pet owner. The reception is amazing and a special shout out to Kasia for the wonderful, friendly service and going above and beyond to help me out!

Been coming here for years, thanks to all the vets and vet nurses for looking after my 2 bubs over the past few years whether it's been surgery or just a check up. You guys are amazing

She is a vet who really listens, sympathizes and provided a great explanation on my cats potential issues. Fantastic experience: I have nothing but good thing to say about this vet practice. They have always been great to work with when it comes to my dog. I like the reminder txts or calls for his regular check ups and vaccinations. They also have a pet care plan that give you free (at the time) visits, so you can kinda pre-pay for some treatment like teeth or nails etc. Ask them about it cos it takes the stress out of finding money when you need to take your fur baby to get seen. Hope you find them as good as I have.

Positive experience: Unlike our regular vet, Pet Doctors were willing to take our sick cat for boarding while we went on our long-arranged holiday. He was happy there. We could ask for more updates I guess but it was fine.

Fantastic experience: Just want to give praise to Pet Doctors who went above and beyond yesterday. Unfortunately we had to put down our dog yesterday afternoon. The staff at Pet Doctors were the most professional, kind and caring people from the receptionist to the nurses and the vet herself! It was such an emotional day. They gave us time to be with our dog and say goodbye, we never once felt rushed or unwelcome. So if you're looking for a vet that cares about your animals I would highly recommend Pet Doctors.

From the kind words when I raced in after it happened, to the teeth surgery today.. and fitting her in to be looked after by their in-house cattery next weekend, Frankie has been a very lucky cat this week in more ways than one. Fantastic experience: I do not like been put in a cage, because it normally means I am going in the car, which I dislike intensely. Especially as it means I am going to be poked & prodded. However, my favourite human was getting annoyed with my claws damaging her new sofa. So for her, I left my happy place (though I reminded them throughout the entire journey that I wasn’t happy!). Tony was very kind and listened to all of my concerns. He vaccinated me, trimmed my claws and gave me a thorough looking over, checking that I am in tip top condition. With the exception of been forced to swallow a worm tablet the experience was a positive one and over and done with quite quickly. My humans seemed pleased and relieved that I am in good health. So thank you Tony and the team for providing a great service and for reassuring my humans that I’m all good for at least another year (or 3 if I have a say), because they didn’t believe me! Negative experience: I brought our dog to the clinic because of moist dermatitis on the neck. I was told the treatment would cost $400-$600. We left to other clinics for second opinions and was charged without any treatment by Pet Doctors for $60 consulting fee and $30 hospitalisation (less than one hour).

Fantastic experience: Great place to take your pet for their health needs.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly. It's due for a bit of a revamp but it doesn't bother me.
