Positive experience: Took our 3 dogs in for their shots and check ups. Friendly staff. We check first before we go in to see what animals are waiting as a courtesy. Always pays to check before going into the waiting room with your pets to save both anxiety in your pet and yourself as well as other owners. Professional vet every step of the way. Positive experience: I have had to take my bloody cat here so many times, he has gotten into fights, fallen from hight, and had a bad blader blockage. They always gave advice over the phone and made an effort to find an appointment. The reception is super nice. The 4 stars is because they don't have lollipops, be a 5star place if they had lollipops for the customer. It'll make spending the $200+ a little easier

Fantastic experience: We have many good memories of Cahill Animal Hospital spreading over around 25 years. On the occasions we have visited with our pets we have found the team very professional and caring always giving very good advice. We recently lost our family cat through illness and we could not go past the thoughtful and(again) caring attention received. Thankyou Genevieve and team. Fantastic experience: Can I put 6 stars? I found Cahill to provide excellent expertise and service, and they were so kind and friendly with my ragdoll cat! The Cahill team went above and beyond to help us when a mistake was made by another vet with our cats international travel paperwork. Their receptionist kindly listened to our extenuating circumstances (we were already overseas arranging from a distance and our regular vet was closed). She got our cat in to see the vet the same day. The team cleared up all the confusion and walked us through the process so she would be clear to fly that week. Highly recommend, we wish we had gone to Cahill earlier!

They are very fairly priced and everything is always explained to us upfront. If you want personal service from a locally owned and operated team, this is your place!

Negative experience: Called Cahill when my dog had a severe allergic reaction (literally hundreds of lumps all over), they didn't even want to know. Didn't even get to tell them what was happening, instead I was brushed off and told to go elsewhere. Cahill care more about money than animal care. They will never see another cent from me for my little fur family.

Fantastic experience: My cat was hand reared so unfortunately has no bite inhibition - in short, he will casually bite when something mildly annoys him. Not hard, doesn't break the skin, but previous vets have had trouble with him. The team at Cahill were great, very professional and successfully burrito wrapped him with zero chomping. Will definitely recommend and make it our regular clinic.

Negative experience: I rang to check availability on Cahill taking new customers, I was trying to book a vaccination for my 16w/o kitten. The receptionist was very rude and completely shrugged me off. When I asked for recommendations on other vetcare she told me I would need to ring around try my luck. Absolutely Zero customer care or compassion for the animals in need. Would NOT recommend this business!! I have also heard of customers waiting 20 minutes in the clinic reception while the receptionist was on a personal call. Very poor service and obviously a business only, they do not care about customers or the animals

Negative experience: I took my pet in with damage teeth was told by 2 vetenerian in one week that dogs and cats feel no pain and refuse to look at me dogs teeth unless they go brown yet me dog was not eat or drink and my dog clear had dentil issues as per 2 visits and was refuse to eat and drink cause of dental issue when I took my dog to a diff vet and dental treatmant was given my dog was eat and drink again the next day it was heat of summer this vet put my dog life at risk from refise to listen to owner concern and told me as pet owner said out right dogs dont feeel pain dentily to stop em eat and drink by 2 diff vet suppose drs there yet since dental treatmant ge back to normal from diff vet of dental treatmant my dog given he been want to drink since another vet gave my dog his needs of dental treatmant This vet is disgusting to treat an animal and a pet owner with no needed treatmant that was needed and left a dog 2 plus weeks with no food or water and told pet owner wait till teeth go brown before treatmant given and it in heat of summer What a disgrace this clinic is no apology no refund nothing Yet clear I was responsable pet oener to take pet to vet twice in less than a week of know sumthing was wrong to be told nothin wrong when my pet not eat and drink and wait till teeth go brown and rotten look before we do denatl despite been told a dog refuse water and food given no other options of mediacal exolanation eaither went to diff vet at fifferant clinic after 2nd wek dental treatmant given then my dog eats and drinks no fuss says alot after this vet refuse denatal treatmant say alot ayy So palmerston north watch out for thoes cyclist who never give way to pedrestrians on footpaths that hit ya dogs on ya big or thoes kids that trow balls toys rocks e.t.c at walk ways if ya pet gets injured by any of these then this vet is a waste of time and will pop ys animals dog life at more in danger as this vet did cause of well no added needed

Negative experience: Tried to call to get some help with our cat (who is registered with them), but because we recently had her taken elsewhere for dental treatment due to high costs, they refused to help us out. She has a burst abscess that is unrelated to her teeth, and urgently needs antibiotics, but unfortunately they are not willing to help. I understand that this is a busy time of year, but time is running out and she needs urgent care.
