Fantastic experience: I am so happy to have been recommended Pet Drs Tristram. I have complete trust in the Team there from Receptionists, Nurses and Vets. I have felt nothing but understood, listened to and my dogs have been treated with the utmost care. The prices are not over the top and I am called for approval on any tests or queries. Communication is wonderful. Timely and informative. I transferred from my Vet of nearly 20 years as all these things were highly lacking! Pet Drs have well and truly restored my faith in the Vet Service.

Negative experience: The vet’s themselves are nice and ok but not a fan of their work ethic and knowledge. I understand mistakes happen, however we ended up having to visit in house twice with 1 phone consultation about our cat and her situation. All three had different opinions and lack of communication. The first guy didn’t do a thorough enough check and completely ignored the fact that I had mentioned ringworm, gave me some ointment that was ultimately useless. He then said ‘give us a call in 3 days if it hasn’t gotten better’ not telling me that it would class as another ‘appointment’. So a phone appointment (which you still pay for) was booked in with the second Vet who said it was doing ok and we could stop the ointment but then it got even worse and had to go back for another in house appointment. The third vet then said yes it is ringworm and gave us some pills, however failed to let us know how to administer it etc.. and because of the first Vet saying it wasn’t, led us to believe that everything was good which then lead it to be circulated around our house (with three kids that love the cat very much there was alot of touching) which then turned into multiple doctor appointments and made an $80 appointment bump up into the hundreds for 3 different appointments for us, 2 appointments for the cat and then 2 lots of medication for the cat and cream for us. All in all, it was all very rushed, very annoying, very time wasting and all around could have done a way better job, all three of them. Needless to say, I’ve already moved my cat and her future appointments to another, much more competent Vet.

Fantastic experience: We had to put our cat down & Pet Doctors made a hard process so smooth. From the time we entered & were ushered straight to a room, to the process of being able to say our goodbyes to being able to wait in the room afterward until we felt ready to leave. The whole team was very empathetic. They even emailed the invoice, so I didn't have to wait to pay. They also followed up with a card which I found very touching. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: We adopted a kitten out of the blue, sleeping in my partners shoes outside. We weren’t too sure on her age but assumed she would be under 8 weeks. Immediately booked a vet appointment for a health check over. The staff here all went above and beyond. The ladies at the reception were all warm and welcoming, making friendly conversation while we waited for the vet. The vet we booked with was thorough in her questions and health check, gave options about her care and her professional opinion, but the decision came down to me as an owner. All staff that we interacted with prioritised us as customers/patients, provided a calm environment to bring an animal into and gave wonderful feedback on how best to look after my new girl. I cannot recommend these guys enough and absolutely feel confident in their knowledge and experience.

Fantastic experience: So glad I decided to change Vets. From the moment I called Pet Doctors, they were super helpful and they managed to fit my cat in at Tristram Street Pet Doctors at 4pm yesterday. Rebecca was just amazing with our cat Blue. Even though he was sick and in pain, he was also relaxed and calm because Rebecca talked to him the whole time, while explaining everything to us. She has to be the best Vet I have ever met! Thank you for looking after Blue. He is feeling much better today. :-)

Fantastic experience: I knocked on their door at 2a.m and they just answered. Let us in and tried so much to revive my Rottweiler but age had caught up to her. Pet Doctors were very helpful and took care of her cremation. She loved the river so we scattered her ashes in the water. Miss you Jackie. Thank you Pet Doctors.

Negative experience: Had a really disappointing experience with our cats staying at the cattery. One of our cats is mature in age and very anxious. We collected them a day early from their stay, and I'm glad we did. The following night our mature cat wasn't eating, was extremely weak and lethargic. I rushed her to the emergency vet where she needed fluids and antibiotics, as she was dehydrated and had a temperature. Really concerned that she had lost weight and was in such poor condition, with no communication given to us about how she was coping with her stay. Absolutely disgusted that a cat could be doing so poorly in their care, clearly hadn't eaten much and was deteriorating during the stay. There was no communication of this even when I collected the cats. So glad we did collect them a day early considering. I had no idea that my cat would suffer so much with her stay there, hence, she will never be subjected to a stay at a cattery again and certainly would never have any cats stay here again either.

Positive experience: Helpful, sold and applied the flea treatment on my cat. Sadly treatment did not last the month as per suggestion. Not their fault. Unsure what I am going to do next.

Fantastic experience: Best vets in Hamilton! I have been to this clinic many times for my dog and each time, the staff and vets are lovely. They have real care for the animals and go out of their way to ensure they are comfortable. They also explain things clearly.

Negative experience: Don't listion. Tell them to stop email or text me but chease me like a fly for a dog medication that will due next 3 weeks! Don't know boundary behave like a stalker. This is a professional prationer but act like a man chase after woman. I have to block them because they are so annoy. If we want to come we will come if we not come bec we don't like ur service! Thought I speak english!igive up with them. They don't want to know what their staffs done wrong. Did not apology and no hospitality at all.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this vets. They saved my puppy. They were the only vets in Hamilton who could see my puppy immediately on a Sunday. The staff were so lovely.

Fantastic experience: Our dog has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, I went to see Shanaka at Pet Doctors to seek a second opinion/clarification on the diagnosis. Whilst the situation for us is really sad both myself and our dog were treated with great empathy and care with really gentle helpful advice around end of life care. I was not rushed through the appointment, instead given all the time needed so I had full clarity on how to move forward . Facing the loss of a pet is always difficult but I left feeling reassured and more knowledgeable . I can’t thank Shanaka enough for his time and advice.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic vet practice. We have 2 cats who unfortunately need to visit quite frequently - one with a chronic condition and one who is very accident prone. Knowledgeable and compassionate vets, vet nurses and reception staff. Always have seen us promptly when needed, even in busy holiday times. Convenient hours too.

But the vet who saw us (quite urgently I might add) made it as bearable as anyone could possibly do. They gave us all the time in the world and made it as comfortable as possible for everyone.
