Fantastic experience: I am very impressed by the services provided by Companion Vets. They are transparent on the costs for surgeries, they provide printed information on surgical options, the efficiency of the options and the best benefits for your doggy. After surgery information is clear and documented to help owners understand (and remember) what to do. Plus a sweet touch of a little bravery certificate after the surgery. Great vet!

Fantastic experience: My cat Milo passed 25/8/25 Thanks for the kindness and compassion from companion vets. It's been tough. A lot of the little things you don't think about at the time. Everyday coming home from work and Milo waiting everyday at the driveway walking with me to the front door. I could go on. I did find some comfort in having his ashes and a few small things when I walk in the door.

Fantastic experience: This is truly the best vets in Hamilton. After my little one went through a painful surgery at another vets, which cost $3,600 but still didn’t lead to recovery, I was fortunate to find this place. Julia saved my critically ill cat with just one injection and a few tablets, all for a little over $200. She is the most outstanding doctor—always gentle, compassionate, and empathetic. My two cats love her. I’m deeply grateful to her.

Fantastic experience: I cannot explain how incredible this vet clinic is. Top of the country for sure. I can’t imagine my life without this vet clinic, my worries are constantly calmed knowing no matter what happens to my pets, companion vets is just around the corner and everything they do is handled with the most incredible expertise and service, no other vet could ever do better (trust me, have tried multiple around Hamilton). Every pet I see going in the clinic I am confident will get the best treatment and outcome possible. I wish I could express my gratitude and respect for the clinic and its amazing team that make up such a caring, knowledgeable environment. I have recommended to this vet to everyone I know that has a pet. All of the vets here are beyond talented and extremely smart, the information and skill they retain is seriously impressive. Fantastic experience: We love this vet and so does our Greyhound. They are so kind to our precious doggo and very knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: I chose to use this vet when I got my puppy because when I was doing some maintenance work at their premises, they were in the middle of a difficult procedure with someone's dog and you can see and hear the excitement and their voices and on their faces when they successfully completed what they needed to do without having to go to surgery. If something can be fixed without drastic measures of surgery recuperation time is better and the animals feel less pain. On that day the staff was so happy and excited the entire premises was a buzz with good vibes, broad smiles and this gave off an excellent feeling as to how they operate. Since choosing this vet for my puppy I have never had a single complaint about how they do things. Thank you for everything.

Fantastic experience: I came to Companion Vets for a second opinion and dearly wished I’d changed vets much much earlier. These guys are better than first class! They are superb and have dramatically raised the bar for veterinary care! My best girl ever, Miss Dior, was so very unwell that the kindest thing was to say goodbye to her. The genuine compassion and care shown by everyone there was astounding. From the first phone call, nurse consult, vet consult with Juliet, information and advice, quick email responses as we worked through the final steps, we were hugely impressed. The ink paw print, the teeny glass bottle of her fur and her ashes are priceless treasures now. My sincere heartfelt thanks.

Also the convenience of weekend appts fit around our work schedules. Our fur baby became known to the clinic without the need to even tell them who I was calling about lol, and the staff were always helpful and responsive with my concerns and what we were going through.. Fantastic experience: The best, most professional, caring vets and staff in Hamilton. Everyone you encounter is warm and welcoming and it feels like the staff are all happy to be there, which does make the atmosphere so relaxed. You can always trust the team to give the best advice as well as clearly explaining all of the options that you have. We live on the opposite side of town but this place is worth traveling for.

Fantastic experience: shopping around the price was better than most and parking and the clinic was clean and the staff were friendly and not only did our puppy get her annual injections we have antibiotics prescribed to clear up a tummy rash from the inside and it's great all good

Fantastic experience: I'm a new pet parent. I have a kitten and a puppy. I absolutely value the advice given by the team from the very start. I was given valuable advice even before buying the two pets and as soon as we got the pets home, we took both of them to Companion Vets. I was terrified as I've heard many stories about pets being afraid to go to the vets. However, the team at Companion Vets made both us and our pets very happy. Both our pets love to visit the clinic which is a blessing. Love the fact that everyone I meet at the clinic knows the names of both my pets. They also care for your fur babies for real. If they do not do that, my puppy would never run after the staff wagging his tail like crazy. Such a kind and caring staff 100% recommended ‐--------------- Update after 2.5 years : Nothing has changed. They are still the same. They are my saviours!

Fantastic experience: Spent thousands with other vets elsewhere im Hamilton and tauranga, and this team fixed our dog with severe skin issues in one visit . They're kind and highly skilled ..never go anywhere else . Immaculate facilities also and heaps of onsite parking, which is very helpful . So grateful for looking after our doggies . Fantastic experience: We had to put our old cat down, they were able to fit us in the day. When we picked her up after being cremated, we were surprised in the care of a personalized hand written card signed by them all, and they have provided a painting of her paw print.

Fantastic experience: Brought our dog in for the first time to Companion Vets, turned out to be her last time too - very sick dog at the end of a good life. Companion Vets showed love and attention to our dog, something we were missing from our previous vets, I'm so happy to have made the last minute decision to change, ultimately giving our dog a better send off. Very nice and caring staff. If we have pets in the future this is where we will go.

Fantastic experience: I couldn't be there due to covid when my baby got sick. Over the 3 days this anxious fur mother was kept well informed, and I even got photo updates. He must've felt quite safe there because the next visit, he cried (howled) in the car the whole time but as soon as we walked through the clinic door he immediately stopped crying, knew exactly where he was and was calm. Even showed his belly for them ready to shave . So If my neurotic cat likes them they must be alright.

Fantastic experience: Very helpful, gave me options on quite a number off times, very happy with the surgeries and follow up appointments. This time, we had lots off time as a whanau & our big dog to farewell his brother, and my baby off 14yrs. Got to take him hm to his final resting place

Super friendly, informative, so kind to my cat Sadie! Highly recommend if your pet has a skin issue and you can’t wait to see a specialist. Juliet seems very knowledgeable and treated my Sadie with such respect. Thank you Juliet and team!

Fantastic experience: Could not speak highly enough of the team at companion vets! The facility has been so well thought out to ensure you get the best experience with your animals. We have a range of animals, Dogs Rabbits and a kitten. Juliet, Craig and their fantastic team have always gone above and beyond to support us with providing care for each of them. Recent events we had to say goodbye to one of our beloved fur babies. The absolute heart felt care we received from start to finish will always stay close to our heart. Fantastic experience: We have been to just about every Vet clinic in Hamilton over the years and would rate Companion Vets at the top. The front desk staff are lovely and passionate about their roles and the online booking is a breeze: we were able to book a same day appointment for our wee cat and were kept well informed of his condition. Having a dedicated cat waiting room is a great idea and kept our boy from added stress of canine intimidation. Graig has established a great facility with top level staff and his 25 years experience treating animals is very reassuring.

Our own vet were unable to book needed surgery for our 4 year old AMB .They were very thorough and caring with our dog were able to book surgery to be done in a timely way.The surgery and care was according to “best practice” . The charges were as quoted and they gave us verbal and written information on her care for follow up. They are now our permenant vet for our family pets. There facilities are purpose built,staff kind,caring and professional.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the team at Companion Vets highly enough. Our cat was to have surgery at a different vet clinic that unfortunately could not be carried out. Companion Vets were able to offer us a same day appointment for a consultation and the surgery was completed the following week. I was kept well informed at all times and offered thorough explanations as to what was involved with my cat’s surgery. All communication was prompt and comprehensive. We will be using Companion Vets for all future consultations. Thank you Companion Vets!

Fantastic experience: Companion Vets is my go-to vets for my puppy to get all his vaccinations, check ups and everything else a dog needs.! I have never been disappointed with there service and the environment and cleanliness is outstanding. Everyone in there are so welcoming and make my dog feel like he’s famous as everyone knows who he is and his name and he just loves the vets everytime he goes. Fantastic experience: I've taken my cat to a few vet practices over the years as we have moved around a lot and I have never seen her so relaxed at the vets before. We had Dr Fran, who was so lovely, knowledgeable and obviously has the magic touch with cats as my timid girl seemed quite content. The set-up of the clinic is also fantastic and well-thought out as it minimises stress on your feline friend. Booking an appointment was a breeze (booked online) and the receptionists are really lovely as well! Highly recommend Companion Vets if you are new to town or looking for a new vet clinic

Previously had alot of issues with my large German sheppards and their skin for years, made the change to see the team at companion vets and it was the best decision we ever made for our animals. Their skin is under control and they are very happy. We don't feel like we are being ripped off and the staff are always amazing at explaining everything to us. Fantastic experience: My Athena loves Craig, she had major surgery an amputation of her big toe. The healing process was long, it was hard on her as she is such an active dog, now confinded to the house for 6 weeks and having to wear a cone. Everyone was so supportive at companion vets. Positive advise, phone calls extra visits. I would not go anywhere else. Craig has a straightforward approach and gets things done Highly recommend to anyone who loves their pets

Fantastic experience: Found these vets when my puppy developed a sore leg after a day at doggy day care. When I called our regular vet and I explained the situation I was told they were booked out for a week. After ringing many other vets Companion vets took us on the day and explained all the things that could have caused a sore leg (turned out it was the knee) including maybe having to have surgery. I'm extremely grateful for their prompt service as this wasn't as urgent as to take her to the emergency hospital but yet required immediate attention especially to manage the swelling and pain. We walked out with an explanation, a plan, medication and a worst case scenario plan. We're seriously considering enrolling with them because this is the kind of service I would expect. Thank you very much from Craig, Georgina and puppy Vogue.
