Fantastic experience: Friendly and caring staff. Ivan has looked after a number of my pets for years, but if he is not available then other staff members are also great to deal with. Reception staff very efficient.

Fantastic experience: Recently had my dog looked after at Chartwell Vets. Great team from admin through to vet. Clean, bright premises, very welcoming, nothing too much trouble to sort out. Given a range of options for treatment and payment. Felt very much in control of whole process . Recommend.

Positive experience: Vets are excellent but afterwords my dogs went to the groomer. My Shih Tzu got burn marks under his tummy and between his toes. Its red and inflamed.

Fantastic experience: I have been to a few of the Carevets franchise now and I have never had a bad experience. Yesterday was a sad day, receiving my cats diagnosis. But the team were very helpful and empathetic. Finding out Mason had been given cuddles, pats, and offered chicken calmed me down, and I’m sure he loved it too. Fantastic experience: I just want to say a big 'Thank You' to Ivan and the team at Chartwell Vets. They have been looking after all my many pets for a few years now and have always given us excellent service. This week was quite a tough one for me as the time had finally arrived where my beautiful Chihuahua boy had come to the end of his life and Ivan's kindness and caring really helped me get through this tough decision and time. I so appreciate this and would highly recommend this team's service to any fellow pet owners.

Negative experience: I had concerns about my cat’s digestive issues, but we left the appointment feeling dismissed and belittled. Based on this experience, wouldn’t recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Excellent phone service. I needed to cancel my cats appointment and they completely understood and didn't charge a penalty fee for short notice. They had my cats interest at heart and asked about him. Every service business should be like this. Thank you!!

Negative experience: This is what happen. Why did you hide things and I wasn't happy at all. I don't recommended about that my kitten. I was heart broken. They must of Punched the vessel of the blood he was fine for couple of days. after that it started after couple of days. when they put in Micro chiped for my male cat.

Negative experience: The veterinarians here are lovely however over the phone I was quoted $220 for the dog's jab + $25 for the weekend visit. When I went to pay it was over $320 due to a revisit fee (what does that even mean?) and gst!! I firmly suggested that they quote the full & complete price, additional fees & gst included, to all customers before appointments. Feeling ripped off & completely annoyed. Do better CareVets Chartwell!!

Fantastic experience: CareVets Chartwell were able to take a short notice weekend consultation when I became concerned about his behaviour. The vet quickly decided he needed dental treatment and that was the key reason for Darcy’s change of vibe. They had Darcy booked in at their sister clinic Hamilton South at a date convenient to me, provided pain relief and antibiotics and gave me a lot of peace of mind. Ever since my first consultation with CareVets Chartwell I’ve been exclusively taking Darcy to Chartwell and Hamilton South Clinic’s and received top notch customer service. Darcy has never been happier and you guys provide by far the best vet experience for my wee dude that he’s ever had in his 6 years. Thanks for all your team do. The reception team are so knowledgeable and provide great advice and the vet doctors are exceptional at what they do. Worth every cent and will be back again and again in the future instead of using Darcy’s other vet clinic. Thanks heaps!

Fantastic experience: Had a scheduled appointment at 10.30am, time was getting on as I had to drive from Rukuhia (Work) to CareVets on Lyndon Court Chartwell. My wife had rung them to let them know that we were going to be a little late but that we were on our way. Her attitude on the phone was Appalling rude and quite disrespectful talking to my wife like she was a child! the lady proceeded to ask if we were going to be there within 5 minutes as another appointment is scheduled at 10:45am so a 15-minute slot between my appointment and the one after ours, she rudely and repeatedly asked the same question and so my wife responded and said to her the longer you stay on the phone with me you're not getting anywhere, she (wife) then hung up the call. We got too Comrie's road as I checked the call log to see from the time my call was to getting there was 3 minutes ago, we pulled up at 10.30 on the dot 10:31am when the lovely young man behind the desk was very warm and welcoming upon our arrival. So, it just showed how quick this lady was nowhere to be seen?? I was just not long on the phone with her before arriving. CareVets you are amazing even the vet who took care of our puppy, the first point of contact is when reception answer the phone and or upon arrival, they are the face of an organization, BUT when a staff member comes at you with a whole different attitude for whatever reason is not good for business let alone one that has a very good star rating. I didn't catch her name as the tone of her voice as she answered the call, I knew straight away she wasn't going to be nice. My 5-star rating is for the exceptional and pleasant warm welcome from the young man behind the desk and information provided by the vet for our puppy.

Fantastic experience: Carevets Chartwell, staff are so understanding, showed great empathy and care when we had to send our beloved pet to cat heaven. We also received a beautiful hand written card with "Stars" paw prints inside [optional and free]. She was placed in a beautiful cardboard casket and we buried her ourselves [options were cremation or take home]. I actually really appreciate the love and thoughtfulness from this pet care facility. ❤️ highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Convenient, professional and reasonably priced care for my fuzzy family members. Edit - just had my elderly cat in for some fairly extensive work, and they are still great. Really appreciate the frank and honest advice from the vet, and the treatment he provided has visibly improved my old girls life. Also the vet nurse was very empathetic and clearly has a lot of love for what she does.

Fantastic experience: What a great team on today. Amazing service from Cameron when I rang through 8am this morning. I secured an app at 930 for my sick cat pango. I got him to the vet and vet Ivine I hope I spelt it right was top notch from the beginning cuts straight to the chase and relays all options to you. They kept pango in on a I.V drip and I picked him up this evening at 545pm and the team was still smiling. Please dont any of you give up this job caring for our animals because they all need genuine people that care for their needs. Katie and Cassie I hope that's your name were amazing when it came to fixing the bill. Appreciate you all. Nga mihi koutou katoa. I will definately be back if ever needed again.

Fantastic experience: I called CareVets Chartwell to have my cat speyed and was able to get an appointment the next day! The price was significantly better than other places and the staff were friendly and helpful. They called after the procedure to organise a pickup time and even lent me a cage to transport my cat home. Very happy to recommend this awesome team!

Fantastic experience: Dr Ivan is the best small animal vet. Patient and kind, he was determined to find solutions for our Summer (Chihuahua). He showed a lot of love and compassion for both the us and Summer alike and he obviously enjoys his job. Good on him. The team are helpful, supportive, and friendly. Fantastic experience: CareVets have been looking after my animals for at least 6 years, in that time I have had a dog run over and a cat with stomach issues along with day to day animal maintenance and check-ups, they have dealt with every situation with professionalism and compassion. Presently we have 2 dogs and 2 cats who are all CareVet patients.

Negative experience: Bad experience, vet did not handle my poor old cat nicely and didn't treat her. Booked expensive surgery but vague on price and diagnosis. I complained to enable them to rectify but they let me down.

Fantastic experience: Thank you for providing vet care for my 2 cats when they became unwell during the Alert Levels. It was a relief to know your service was available at this time to take care of their needs. I love my 3 cats and their health and wellbeing is important to me, so having CareVets as their vet care provider is peace of mind for me. Absolutely deserve 5+ stars.

Positive experience: The vet was absolutely fantastic. He had a lot of paperwork to do for me. He was very thorough and I had no problems exporting and importing my dogs. The reason for the 3 stars is because the phone receptionist at the vets was worse than useless. She knew what I was booking my appointments for and she made the appointments too early. Animals must be vet checked 5 days or less before they go overseas. My booking was 6 days before departure. And then I had to do the appointment and paperwork all over again the day before we all flew out. I had asked her the cost which she quoted at around $380.00. Her quote was for 1 animal and she knew that I was booking for 2 dogs. So I had another surprise when I got their bill. Sheesh she was bad news. All other staff were fantastic and I thank you all very, very much, especially the vet......he was great!

Positive experience: Irks despite dog having regular checks can't purchase anything for known allergy without seeing the vet for yet another appointment. At $65 for what?? I'm sure if one could speak to a vet nurse or a vet it would make things easier or would get good advice so one would be happy to pay the vet consult. Very poor customer service from reception. Happy to lose the customer rather than try to work with. The argument that one has to pay the doctor for self doesn't hold for me. I can get any medication for my allergy except steroids on both prescription and can purchase at the chemist if need be. Vets and vet nurses here are lovely. I just think more effort should be made for the customer to speak to at least the vet nurse. I went elsewhere because of poor customer service. Possibly only because of the receptionist i struck.
