Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this clinic!! The staff are lovely and you can tell that they genuinely care. Reasonable pricing and never any issues getting an appointment, even emergency ones when your dog decides to eat a pufferfish they explain the procedures and pricing very clearly and the whole atmosphere just gives you great peace of mind when leaving your fur babies there. Not to mention their incredible patience with animals who experienced vet anxiety!

Negative experience: I took my dog here to be operated on at 7:30 in the morning. At 2:30pm I had found out my dog had not been operated on. I was worried sick because I hadn't heard back in so long. After my dog had been there for 7 hours, they called me and told me that the necessary operation hadn't been done as they had run out of time. In the future I am avoiding this place and finding a new vet.

Everyone there absolutely loves animals, they were attentive, informative and very very professional. They asked and checked every concern i had, i received updates on how it went. Negative experience: We got a pain patch for our cat but he kept taking it off. Said we were getting a second opinion and take cat elsewhere as we wanted to do a payment plan and they don’t. They called the spca on us saying we weren’t giving our cat pain relief but they had given him a pain patch to last the weekend and cage him to stop him walking and taking it off, spca turned up before then. Absolutely shocked and disappointed in the way they treated us, as if we were abusing our animal. Had to get oral pain relief for him and they charged us for a repeat prescription but they had never given us any oral medication for him at all. Never will I ever consider anyone coming here, make sure you check your receipts when you take your animal in.

Negative experience: Partner and mother were told multiple different stories as to what was wrong with my animal which fluctuated the price considerably (700 turned to 3000). We got a second opinion to find out it wont fix the issue. Took him in for a day stay and they took upon themselves to give my animal multiple things that didn't need to be done and DID NOT contact me on what they were going ahead and doing. We had to pay on arrival to take him home which was 150 more than expected.

They dealt with our puppy as a priority, defused a potential disaster & also looked after our puppy for the rest of the day to make sure he was ok... John is a genuine original business owner & Veterinarian that truly cares about what he does & the positive impact he is contributing to the wellbeing of the animals & their owners, that he & his staff take care of.... Furthermore, their pricing is extremely reasonable & justifiable for their very personalised service… Thanks John & staff for the excellent service…

He can be a grumpy little man, but the lovely lady who helped us was patient and made myself and little Bosley feel at ease. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Negative experience: My experience with this veterinary practice has been nothing short of appalling. They failed to inform me of my dog's blood results or provide a diagnosis, which had been suggested by the laboratory. But further to this they insisted that I must have been informed and that I was mistaken and were quite rudely adamant!. This occurred during lockdown last year, and I understand that was a busy time for them, but still does not excuse the lack of professionalism. Following this experience I moved my pet's care to another veterinary practice. When we my current vet rang to check the last vaccination dates of my animal. Welcome Bay Vet clinic told them that I had refused the annual vaccinations for dog, because she was on antibiotics at the time. This was an out and out blatant lie. I would not return to this practice or recommend them to anybody. And this comes from somebody who never writes reviews, but has been incensed enough to make an effort in making this post.
